What’s up sharkies?
Let’s recap the week Feb 13th – 19th
Monday 13th was the day!!! We officially burned 1,500 and finished the event in only three days and a half.
First thing we did was posting a long announcement in which we explained what was going to happen (you’ll find the complete one in #announcements). Ironman ICON ended up being in the small stack of sharks we didn’t use, still unminted; so, we minted all of those, kept the ICON and 277 for games and future collabs and burned the rest.
Ironman ICON raffle took place on Wednesday at 3 pm UTC (as we explained we needed a day or two to mint all the sharks, so the winner could receive the ICON right after the raffle). We used a list provided by the World of V ticket (shoutout to them and @BRT for dealing with my stressed self lol) that repeated the name of the holder as many time as he burned, to make it fair. We created a voice channel and showed the participants the screen (even showed ourselves for a quick hello cause we egocentric lol); we later on posted the recording of the screen to announce the winner. Congrats @psychobillyforlife on your first ICON; I remember you claiming one ever since you joined the reef. Much love!
As far as now, we are working on fixing some errors on the metadata that were reported by some holders. After that, we will submit the updated meta and re-rank to the WoV team. Working with 3D is very satisfying creatively but extremely hard technically so we are trying to make it as quick as possible but it will take a few days; we promise we will update you every single step of the way!
Once re-rank is live, we will proceed with the features NFT airdrop. Can’t wait for that!
14th was Valentine’s Day!! Apparently, everybody on Discord has a partner except me but I really enjoyed all the loving messages you guys shared! To celebrate it together, we opened a meme contest. All participants got 1 multiple editions of Valentine Shark and our winner @pez1988 won a Shark as well. Congrats!
It was also an extremely fun week with a lot of games! Our amazing @loco hosted math guessing game on Thursday (very funny seeing how slow @LadyFanny counts with her hands – love ya); we co-hosted gartic at BFFC on Saturday and about to play smash karts with the Psychos on Sunday. Can’t get bored in the reef!
We had a huge ICON sale that needed to be celebrates so here we go!
Also this week @loco got jealous of Craster’s giveaways and reluctantly did one as well – thanks for letting that one shark go, we love you big bro!
This week was also a special one because we added to the team one community member that has been doing a lot for the project… @Casper welcome on the team!!! Everybody loves you and your positive energy already so I’m sure we’ll do magic together as a team.
And finally – saved the best for last – we updated the roadmap. I know we should have done this before since it was clear we couldn’t respect the older one due to the bear market that hit us straight in the face lol also, the first roadmap (which I didn’t delete, it’s still in the whitepaper) really gave us a short time frames to create new collections and we know
now it takes a lot of work and effort to complete one. So we are going to update it every 3 months; this way, we can plan short term, focus on what’s going to happen in the next couple of months and make it happen. Just wanted to say how proud I am of my team for spotting what we did wrong and improving constantly.
Q1 is posted on the #roadmap channel, please take a look at it and let us know what you think. Burn and new supply are almost completed as I mentioned above, everything else is a work in progress and we can’t wait to make it happen. Personally, I am super excited about the introduction of auctions and the fact the even if you don’t win, you can get 1 multiple editions… amazing idea by our won gentleman @Fenix. Can’t wait to see what the guy will come up with.
I would like to close this weekly recap with a huge thank you to all of those that participated in the burn, believed in us and sticked with us even during though times. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
That’s a wrap for this week.
